Fighting Guide

Before I start explaining things about fighting, I want to inform you of the following:

Health ring:

Health ring adds you health, but it also lowers speed of healing, in the past having a ring during fighting has also been considered as cheating. Rings are for fights against monsters, not other players. It is always better to remove the ring before any PvP.

Before we start, I will show you the basics, hits, combos..

Regular Attack:

·  Full hit:

You deal this damage to your opponent. It is best to use it while your opponent’s block is around 10%  down. This hitting may differ with connection, and be ready to block coming hit or powermove or a crit..

·  Half hit:

Half hits start as full hit but are stopped half way by immediately going to block or a powermove. This can add to the damage you deal to your opponent (giving you more critpower) and same time will confuse your opponent, they will try to block it, it’s always good to do a powermove after half hit, you’ll have a high chance of hitting your opponent.

·  Powermoves (Combos):

It takes 6 seconds to recharge.

Round kick: ctrl + Z ( or number 4)–--- Xp level: 2

Round kick is a quick combo with low damage, but it is also very difficult to block, but find it easy to deal while opponent is blocking ;).

Lunging double strike: ctrl + X  (or number 5)--- Xp level: 3

Is quite long and can be blocked easily by an experienced blocker, but deals big damage.

Reverse Hammer strike: Ctrl + C (or number 6) --- Xp Level: 4

Quick and short with limited damage, good for combinations (Example: Talisman + Ctrl C , half hit + Ctrl  C..).

Spinning kick: Ctrl +  V (or number 7) --- Xp Level: 6

Pretty high damage, but long and can be blocked easily (by an experienced blocker, of course).

Salto / flash kick: Ctrl + A  (or number 8)--- Xp Level: 8

High damage, but it is long and can be blocked easily, too.

Spinning strike: Ctrl + Spacebar --- Xp level: 10

Well, i recommend to NOT USE this combo during fight, it is really easy to block and your opponent is able to build crit. It deals two low damages.

Building Crits (charging):

So, you increase your next attack by blocking your opponent’s hits and powermoves. Makes maximal damage to your opponent and a well charged  crit may even take 50% of your opponent’s health. Talisman gives you crit power too. But don’t forget that your opponent is charging crits against you too.

1. Talisman: Try to tally your opponent while he / she is blocking or hitting, it will deal more damage, by the way, when you stand still on your opponent’s tally, it deals less damage. Yes,this also builds crit.

2. Receive regular hit while standing

3. Block his or her power moves to build crit

4. Use counter(critical) powermoves from a standstill to deal more damage than when countering

    from blocking mode.

It will take time to learn this, so do not give up easily and practice with clan members or Trainers.

Talisman:

You have to collect it first, it does not matter which one (red, blue, black, green), all of them deal the same damage. You can activate tally by pressing the TAB key. All of them deal the same damage and the opponent cannot do anything against it, he / she may only reduce the damage as I mentioned before. Charging takes 12 seconds.

1.       Sped tally: Right after you press the TAB key, block, this also takes some time to learn, but you will learn it fastly I think.

2.       Reducing / increasing damage: I mentioned it before in building crits c:

Blocking:

This is the most important thing while fighting here is all I know about it:

·   Full blocking

The full blocking is the easiest one. To use it, press ctrl + shift (or number 2) at the same time.

·   Half blocks

Half blocking is useful in combos and exchange of strikes. Strike as usual, but do not entirely perform it. During the strike you change it into a block.  It is pretty useful.

·   Quick blocking / speed blocking

Press ctrl + shift until the blocking has reached full power. Than let go of ctrl and wait until the block reaches bottom (until the feet of your character are exactly next to each other). Don't take too much time though. You must press ctrl very quickly again to get the blocking back up again.

Experienced fighters don't just press the CTRL + SHIFT buttons at the same time while blocking. They make a very short break when the avatar comes up and stand still for a split second (that means to press the CTRL button only) and then press both again, so that the avatar moves down and blocks again.

Why use this type of blocking?

Your health is growing faster while you stand, and  so you do, when you stand still for a split second and because you do it again and again  during a fight you will collect more health than your opponent.

Alright, these were the basics, I think. Now I will show you the rest.

Concentration, Patience:

·   Concentration: This is very important part, you should focus on your fight and not to read the chat. If you do, your opponents get and advantage a bit.

·   Patience: When you fight you may face an equal opponent, so you are going to fight for a long time, take your time and learn your opponent’s strategy and use it against him or her. You know, tally and then power move? Then block right after his or her tally and block the Combo.

Timing: Ever dreamt about being a great fighter? You should learn timing, a VERY important part in becoming a good fighter.Timing means that you are able to block hits of your enemy and that you can act upon the fightingstyle of your opponent. When you succeed, you will block his attack more effectively.

This point is the most important for your training. You have to find out a (your) rhythm for the fight.

Practice this as much as you can, with your clan Trainer or your friend, you develop your own fighting style. Together with concentration and patience, timing is the most important factor for your victory in PvP.

Countering:

The strength of a counterattack exists of the fact that at best you answer a power move with a power move, thus giving your opponent more damage. Try to make a power move at the same time as your opponent. Those are good tactics when your opponent dodges a lot.

By the way, your opponent won’t be able to block your powermove if you do it right after them, use this strategy when you are not that good in timing, it will make sure you will deal your opponent damage.

Stand still:

Let it help you to be tactical on your opponent, in changing your rhythm and in confusing him or her, to receive less damage from tallies and to heal faster. If you stand still, you heal faster and receive less damage, and you may rest a bit too, if the fight is too long.

Predictability:

A big mistake many people do, they do the same all the time, if you will be predictable, your opponent will use it against you, here are few good tricks that will help you a lot while fighting:

·         Power move & tally: I am sure that you want to confuse your opponent, if you will use your powermove later than right after 6 seconds (charging time) it will drop your predictability and it should be easier for you to use it after that, the same goes with the tally, don’t use it right after 12 seconds (charging time), use when it’s right –while your opponent is blocking-

Tips from me:

·        Counting: sounds weird right? But it helped me a lot, so this is how it works, as I mentioned before (predictability) your opponent will use his powermove after 6 seconds, if you will count it in your head, you should be ready for it and block it, same goes with the tally.

·        Strategy: you should make your own strategy, that is original, your friend will help you while improving or your clan trainer.

·        Use regular hits: they may help you a lot, instead of standing and waiting for a power move you may attack your opponent but be careful, he may block it and build a crit. Try to hit while his or her block is 10% down, it will help you to win.

That is all, hope it helped you. Don’t forget to practice with your trainer, or with your friend, after some time, you will became really good and one day you will become really great fighter.  Don’t be ashamed to ask anyone for help.
